Celebrating Resilience: Central Girls Vocational School Hosts Historic Inaugural Graduation

Central Girls Vocational School celebrated a historic milestone with its inaugural graduation ceremony, marking the completion of the school's first cohort of students since opening in 2023.

Dressed in caps and gowns, graduates from the Cosmetology, Catering, Agri-Business, and Tailoring & Cutting programs were recognised for completing their vocational training — a milestone made even more significant given the barriers many of them had already overcome as young mothers rebuilding their futures.

The ceremony was supported by partner organisations including local Rotary clubs, whose continued involvement has helped make the school's training programs possible.

"Every graduate on that stage represents resilience," said school representatives, reflecting on the journey from the school's founding to this first graduating class. "This is just the beginning."

Central Girls Vocational School continues to welcome new students into its programs, alongside its on-site ECD centre for students' children.
