Central Girls Vocational School is a safe learning space giving adolescent girls and young women affected by teenage pregnancy and early forced marriage access to vocational training alongside their children.
CGVS was founded in 2023 under the vision of Kathleen Mayhew, whose dream was for young mothers to have education opportunities to improve their quality of life.

Model Focus
Model focus: building Social, Emotional and Behavioral skills to help break the cycle of trauma, poverty & vulnerability among adolescent girls and young women affected by teenage pregnancy and early forced marriage.

Fosters teamwork, communication, and real-life collaboration through hands-on group projects and peer interaction.
Building Emotional skills
Hands-on tasks boost self-confidence, empathy, and emotional control through guided reflection and real-world challenges.
Building Behavioral skills
Realistic tasks build emotional resilience, adaptability, and teamwork for success in professional settings.
