On February 6th and 7th, 2026, the quiet surroundings of the Eriot Recreation Centre in Gayaza became a hub of strategic thinking and professional growth. Staff from the Anthill Foundation and Central Girls Vocational School (CGVS) gathered for a comprehensive two-day in-house training under the theme: “Resource Mobilization & Strategic Donor Mapping, Communication, Proposal Excellence, and building Corporate Partnerships”. The training was a proactive step toward bridging the gap between daily school operations and long-term organizational growth.

The workshop brought together administrative, technical, and vocational departments to break down “silos” and strengthen internal synergy. By aligning these diverse teams, CGVS continues to position itself as a leading institution for quality education and social development in Uganda.

Strengthening Our Foundation

Key Learning Highlights.

Over the course of two days, staff participated in intensive practical modules led by expert facilitators:

  • Resource Mobilization: Nshuti Elve introduced staff to modern strategies for securing and managing resources effectively.
  • Proposal Excellence: Caroline Achola guided the team through the process of writing persuasive, winning grant proposals to fund future school projects.
  • Strategic Communication: Mr. Dokoria Dennis, one of our Board members for The Anthill Foundation led a session on crafting effective messaging to engage donors and community stakeholders.
  • Digital Transformation: In a move toward modernization, the training also focused on integrating AI and cloud tools into the school’s administrative workflows.

Looking to the Future.

This training is more than just professional development; it is a commitment to the students and families we serve. By enhancing our external relations and institutionalizing excellence in everything we do, we ensure that Central Girls Vocational School remains a powerful force for “Empowering for Generations”.

“To remain impactful in a dynamic development landscape, our staff must possess high-level adaptive leadership and technical proficiency”
